Our Bathroom Remodel
This was a fun and exciting Project to take on! It did take about (6) six weeks to complete. It was a little more than we expected in cost but it was well worth the expense. We added (8″) eight inches to the bathroom itself. We used some room from our family room to supplement the bathroom. We moved the wall between our bathroom and our family room. We had to gut the entire bathroom before the contractor could come in to replace the floor and take out a small wall between the tub and the sink that was there prior to the new gutted bathroom area. We moved the toilet to a totally different area in the bathroom and the sink to the other side of the room near the window where the toilet was previously. The entire bathroom is painted in a light tan paint with white trim. The ceramic floor tile is done in brown earth tones. In the shower and around the sink is done We beautiful accent tile that compliments the ceramic floor tiles. The Shower itself has a cubby with a glass shelf for holding soap and other necessities as well as shampoo and conditioner as well as a bench seat and a large shower head for lots of free flowing water only 40psi. (BTW:We at on Well Water). The glass doors are Tuxedo Doors opening to the right hand side. We added a much needed exhaust fan to the bathroom, the really cool part it has a speaker, fan and an LED light! I highly encourage more people to buy one of these its fantastic you can connect your cellular phone right to the blue tooth and listen to your music while you take your shower! It’s Fantastic! Lighting over the sink and in the shower. The door going into the bathroom is a large 36″ thirty-six inch wide door opening to the hallway verses the bathroom to provide much more needed in the bathroom. The bathroom also provides handles in the shower and throughout the bathroom for persons with disabilities. This project added more room and value to our property. It was a great experience and a lot of fun to plan and design. I look forward to our next project.
